BEL - [Chaldean] "The confounder", "to mix", also "the heart". Name of the great Babylonian god, originally given as a title to Cush. Name later passed down to his deified descendants. BELTIS - (equivalent of, Baalti) translated "My Lady". In Latin, i>mea Dominia. In Italian, Maddonna.
