Pouro

POURO - Name of the sun, identified with Royal serpent. Pouro signifies both "the fire, and "the king". From this comes the epithet "Purros the fiery is given to the Great seven-Crowned Serpent. Note, the word purros does not exclude the idea of "red", because the sun-god was painted red to identify him with Moloch, the god of fire and blood.
